Supporting Families through the Cycles of Life
I am generally available to help people during life’s milestones whether joyous or sorrowful. My approach to Jewish life cycle rituals is to infuse them with meaning for families. I work with families to understand context, personalities, and history to make the rite of passage personal, reflecting the family’s life experiences. I anchor life cycle events within Jewish teachings and insights that inspire family members and help the family to become closer to each other and to Jewish tradition.
Please contact me before you begin planning your life cycle event to ascertain my availability and to discuss applicable honoraria / fees. In the case of a death or serious illness, please don’t hesitate to call me at 949 827-3842. You may set up an appointment with me through Calendly.
Below are common rites of passage that I can oversee by request.

Birth Ceremonies
for both girls and boys. This does not include a Mohel for Brit Milah.

Weddings
Included in officiating at a wedding ceremony, I conduct at least two pre-nuptial sessions in the monthls leading up to the wedding.

Death and Mourning
This involves helping the family to organize the funeral and burial rituals, support for the family during grief, organizing the Shivah rituals as requested by the family. This can include the unveiling and other rituals associated with death and mourning.

Bar and Bat Mizvah
Tutoring and Preparation. I defer to synagogues in most cases but will consider tutoring after consultation with the family. I do not officiate at private ceremonies at the current time.

Divorce Proceedings
I facilitate a rabbinic divorce ritual in coordination with the RA Divorce Beit Din in Los Angeles overseen by Rabbi Daniel Shevitz.
